The Commodore’s Ball is scheduled for January 30, 2010 at the Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa.   The cost is $45 per person.  We will send more information later but below are some items that may be of interest to help you start planning:

1. Checks will be due by January 9 and there will be no refunds after close-of-business January 20.   
2. The main entrée will be chicken and steak.  A cash bar will be available starting at 6:00 PM.  Dinner will be served at 7:00.
3. Tables will be set to sit 8 and 10.  If you would like to reserve a table with a group of friends, you can do so once everyone in the group has submitted their checks.
4. Free self-parking will be available. 

Date change: The Sanibel Harbour Princess dinner cruise originally scheduled for November 14 has been shifted to Lucky Friday the 13th in November.  A wedding party hired the yacht for November 14 so we were bumped. The cost will be $55 per person and gratuities will be at your own discretion.  Boarding starts at 4:45 PM.   Free self-parking is available.  More details will be disseminated soon.

Our planned participation in the Cape Coral Christmas Boat Parade has been cancelled.  The date for the parade of December 20th is too close to Christmas and many members would not have been able to participate.  If you would like an event in December, you may suggest one or vote for one of the options that follow.  I have had requests for a trip to Useppa Island – visit www.useppa.com - departing from Captiva ($35 per person) and a beach picnic (pack a lunch and join your fellow mariners at one of the Ft. Myers beaches).  Based on your responses we will decide whether to hold an event in December.

Our annual General Meeting is scheduled for December 5 at 11:00 in the clubhouse.  The primary purpose of the meeting is to elect the board for 2010.  If you have items you wish added to the agenda you may do so by notifying our Secretary, Karen Suscewicz.
